Who Laughs Last

Who Laughs Last

in his mind he’s always smiling
see’s a world that’s coldy cruel
his world view it’s quite beguiling
might makes right his only rule

marching forth into the battle
enforcing jokes for uncle sam
nixon smiles cuz we’re all cattle
nurtures all a fucking scam

in the jungle bridges burning
fighting fucking killing kids
no recourse is what he’s learning
sanctioned kills state sponsored pig

thin veneers of mores and culture
sliding down this slippery slope
ethics morals picked by vultures
laughing cuz he knows the joke

HE WHO SMILES
what’s his past?

HE WHO GRINS
as his gun blasts

HE WHO SNEERS
What's his past?

HE WHO LAUGHS
fucking last

his facade is slowly slipping
he's the joke that’s wearing thin
cursed by knowledge unforgiving

Moloch hears his list of sins
On his knees he grovels crawling
All bravado washed away
Through the air he's tumbling falling
The lonely joker has his day

penance done but no compassion
nothing left and morals broke
no remorse the latest fashion
liars burn while jokers joke

no one mourns this lonely jester
one more death among the rest
subtle clues that slowly fester
a final gift for those oppressed
