Splendor Of Kings

There was a time when the faith ruled the world
Pouring Its wisdom in human soil
Godly society emerged the kings -
the head of the body among all limbs

Providence sent those men in history dawn
The unity - that is why they sat on throne

Chosen by Heaven, blessed by the popes
They bore the scepter and royal sword
Leaders in warfare, masters in peace
Beauty of order! Splendor of kings!

They built the might of old world's states
And spread the creed across all lands
They lead their troops away from home
In a just defence of Christendom

Providence sent those men in history dawn
The unity - that is why they sat on thrones

Chosen by Heaven, blessed by the popes
They bore the scepter and royal sword
Leaders in warfare, masters in peace
Beauty of order! Splendor of kings!

Their cadavers sleep in the soil
But splendid names shall last evermore

One glorious day they shall return
When heaven's grace people earn

Providence will send new kings to bring again
The unity -- between true God and mortal man

Chosen by Heaven, blessed by the popes
They bore the scepter and royal sword
Leaders in warfare, masters in peace
Beauty of order! Splendor of kings!
